Abstract: |
Monitoring of ground works associated with the conversion of a barn at Vicarage Barn, Coddenham, was carried out as a condition of the planning consent in order to record any archaeological evidence revealed. A possible former floor surface was recorded inside the barn and flint and mortar footings were observed which could suggest an earlier phase of structure, later reused to build the existing brick walls. No artefactual evidence was recovered from the upcast spoil or seen in the exposed sections. |
