Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording took place during the construction of new classrooms and alterations to facilities at Wellow House Preparatory School in the district of Newark and Sherwood in Nottinghamshire. The monitoring revealed no significant archaeological deposits, although three pits and the remains of a brick structure, all believed to be of post medieval date, were revealed. This document describes the results of archaeological monitoring in accordance with the subject planning conditions and forms part of the archaeological mitigation associated with the scheme of development. |
