Abstract: |
Excavation of the footprints of a new house and related garage found the stone foundations of a medieval building and evidence for difficult ground conditions holding back development nearby. A process of alluvial silting brought up levels by the 16th-17th centuries, facilitating eventual cultivation. At the same time the old building had been demolished and maps show the plot then lay empty through the 17th to 20th centuries. |
