Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6.1 hectares of pasture. A number of features of archaeological evidence have been identified throughout the survey area. These include features related to the former Anderton tin mine, which bordered the site to the south west, as well as extensive ridge-and-furrow and a small number of possible pits and cut features. Other features identified are likely modern in origin, and include utilities, magnetic disturbance relating to fences, boundaries and service inspection chambers and isolated magnetic spikes in the topsoil. |
