Abstract: |
The rear of 18 Hart Street (part of a range which is grade II Listed) was photographically recorded prior to conversion. These buildings, now known as The Maltings, range in date from the 17th century to the 20th. The earliest phase was a set of rooms to the rear of 18 Hart Street, originally part of that building. An existing kiln structure appears to be later than the buildings which surround it, but may have been built on the site of an earlier kiln. The eastern range predates the southern range, which itself comprises two or three phases. |
