Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 16.5 hectares of grassland. The survey has not identified any anomalies of a probable archaeological origin. A small number of possible archaeological anomalies have been detected, however their origin cannot be determined with any degree of confidence. Evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation and former field boundaries across the site suggest that the area has been used mostly for agricultural purposes since the medieval period, as stated in the desk-based assessment. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to underground services, scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects, and fencing. |
