Abstract:		 A watching brief was maintained during ground work to form a new car park for the Rolls-Royce factory at Weshampnett on land off Claypit Lane. No significant archaeological remains were uncovered. Previous evaluation had found two possible prehistoric ditches but no evidence of these was seen in the watching brief.
