Abstract:		 A programme of trenched archaeological evaluation was carried out at 'The Dell. 5 Nelson Way, Beccles, Suffolk' as a planning condition associated with the construction of a new care home. Despite the potential for archaeological remains, none were present. Construction, use and demolition of the building formerly on this site have caused a great deal of disturbance to deposits and it is unlikely that archaeological remains exist beyond the areas evaluated.
