Abstract:		 The site was located immediately opposite the manorial banks associated with Lindsey Castle and Chapel, and there was some question as to the relationship of the site to the manorial enclosure. Geophysical survey identified an area of possible buried fired clay structures, albeit outside the immediate development footprint. Six trenches within the area of development failed to locate any archaeology. The report presents historic maps relating to the site.
