Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the 2nd October 2017 on land adjacent to 1 Church Close, Kelsale as required by a condition placed on planning application DC/17/2063/FUL by Suffolk Coastal District Council. A single trench was excavated across the location of the new footings, revealing a large amount of modern dumped deposits and truncations, most likely originating from the construction of Church Close in the 1960's. No finds or features of archaeological relevance were encountered.
