Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over 1.73 hectares of pasture land. Several negative linear features are present in the north of the survey area and are interpreted as being probable pipes or other services. The rest of the data collected from the site is very 'noisy' with large areas of magnetic disturbance caused by nearby metal objects, and more scattered debris. A large number of magnetic spikes caused by buried ferrous objects are littered across the site. There was no indication of the Roman road and settlement site documented within the desk-based assessment. |
