Abstract: |
Historic building recording was carried out at Lewiston Mill in connection with residential development of the site. An earlier stone water mill existed on the site before the new steam powered woollen mill factory was built in 1856 and extended in 1864. A fire destroyed parts of the mill in 1866. Modifications were carried out to the mill until a change of use in the 1950s. |
