Abstract:
Large scale excavation revealed a complex Bronze Age landscape with two burnt mound complexes and associated ditches, a drove way and structures. Later Iron Age storage pits were discovered with over 150 being found alongside a partial D shape enclosure, other possible enclosures and two 4 post structures. Two large Roman enclosures and associated ditches were also discovered with later post-medieval pits and night soiling. The last phase present on site was a WWII firing range.
