Abstract:		 In September 2018, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with the repair of a water main at Dartmouth Castle, Devon. The watching brief recorded no archaeological features or deposits. The monitored groundworks were within areas of modern made ground, presumably associated with levelling for the modern road and/or backfilling of the trench excavated to install the extant water main.
