Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology were commissioned by Sheffield City Council, to update the external photographic survey of the appearance of the historic buildings and their setting contained within the limits of the Sheffield Retail Quarter Development, located within the city center of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This report sets out the external photographic survey made of the site, originally undertaken by ARCUS in 2008, and updated by Wessex Archaeology in 2016. The survey also included some internal photographs of the Casbah whilst open in 2008. The photographic survey showed the site's mixed-use and evidenced continual piecemeal development throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.
