Abstract: |
A burial vault against the east wall of the burial ground was opened during a programme of conservation work. The entrance to the vault was damaged and required remedial work. The entrance was excavated and it was discovered that the vault was filled with soil to within a metre of the vaulted ceiling. The soil was left in place and the vault was recorded as far as was possible. No burials were observed. |
