Abstract: |
An assessment of Lower Mill building on the former Buckfast Spinning Co. Ltd. site was carried out in June 2014. The work was commissioned by Buckfast Abbey, which has recently acquired the site. The assessment was intended to inform future development of the site by the abbey. The building is a multi-story, brick and stone structure, which stands immediately alongside Lower Leat at the north-east corner of the former Buckfast Spinning Company works. This study does not include the 20th-century addition to the south. |
