Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology was provided with an updated version of the Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm Cable Route in August 2012 in advance of proposed geotechnical investigations. Upon review it was noted that the revised route covered areas which had not previously been assessed for archaeological potential. Three distinct areas required assessment of the previously gathered geophysical data, titled Centre, Northeast and Northwest. In total 135 line km of data was identified for review, though the southern 4.5 km of the Northwest Area was situated outside of the geophysical survey area and could not be reviewed. The data previously collected included sidescan sonar, magnetometer, multibeam bathymetry and sub-bottom profiler techniques. The area assessed covers approximately 334 square kilometres. This process identified 13 geophysical anomalies and one recorded wreck across the three areas. This report concludes that all three areas contain low numbers of sites of archaeological potential, with the Centre area being the only area to contain a wreck including the aforementioned and a fishing vessel wrecked in 1993 that is recorded but not identifiable from the geophysical data.
