Abstract: |
A short fieldwork project conducted in order to determine the survival of surface archaeological remains beneath the now demolished York House, Nottingham. A desk-based assessment was produced followed by a short programme of fieldwork including two stages of trial pitting and a small area excavation down to the site formation level. The formation level was above the natural horizon and no surface features were found, but a wall probably related to C19 buildings was unearthed in the area dig. |
