Abstract:		 An archaeological trench evaluation was carried out by AC archaeology on land at 9 New Inn Court, Cullompton. The site is located at the rear of burgage plots of medieval origin that extending back from Fore Street, which historic maps depict as being undeveloped until the present properties were constructed in the later 20th century. The groundworks exposed an extensive sequence of modern interventions and 18th to 19th century made ground layers over the natural subsoil. No evidence for earlier activity was exposed.
