Abstract: |
Archaeological Watching Brief during the rerouting of an electricity power line. A metal detector survey and watching brief were undertaken, 10 - 17 April 2018, during the excavation of a cable trench and a series of pits for overhead powerline poles, within the designated area of Culloden Battlefield. The survey identified a small collection of ferrous and lead objects. The lead objects, whilst not of obvious military origin, were retained. No finds or features of archaeological significance were recorded during the watching brief. |
