Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was conducted for Anglian Water Services Limited during groundworks associated with the installation of a replacement water main adjacent to the A6 at Pulloxhill, Bedfordshire. The monitoring revealed no features of archaeological significance. However a layer of subsoil was present over the whole of the monitored area which produced finds of Roman, medieval, post-medieval and modern date, suggesting arable agriculture here since the Roman period.
