Abstract:		 AN archaeological watching brief on groundworks associated with piling mats, drainage, and pile caps. The watching brief recorded natural Kempton Park Gravel between 1.9m OD and 1.64m OD sealed by a humic soil horizons representing garden activity in the 17th and early 18th century which was overlain by later post-medieval made ground.
