Abstract: |
The results of a geophysical survey carried out by South West Archaeology Ltd. (SWARCH) on land off Hamilton Close, Kenwyn, Truro, Cornwall. The site is located at the north-western edge of the settlement and south of New Mills Lane, consisting of two sub-rectangular fields. These lie within a later medieval and post-medieval agricultural field system, overlying a Prehistoric funerary and settlement landscape. Although Kenwyn was first documented in the 13th century, much of the settlement is 19th or 20th century in date and most of the houses immediately adjacent to the site were built in the last 20 years. |
