The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The building of St Peter's Church, Grandborough, dates back to the 14th century, although there has been a church here since probably c1100 or before. From about that time it lay in the purview of Ronton Augustinian Priory, Staffordshire until 1536, with foundation-links also to Coventry Benedictine Priory, which held considerable manorial rights and lands in the village. The Dissolution of the monasteries brought a long line of various secular patrons, who have left little trail. There were numerous periods of alteration and extensive restoration during the 19th century. the church benefits from comparatively good documentation including numerous relevant medieval references.
