Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology (WA) was commissioned by Nomenca Limited (hereafter the 'Client',) to prepare a Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) for the monitoring of groundworks for the Canal and River Trust at Stourport basin (hereafter 'the Site'), at National Grid Reference (NGR) 380990, 271065 (Figure 1). The works comprised the installation of one electric sign at Stourport Narrow Lock No 1. The associated groundworks comprised the excavation of a trench 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.9 m as well as a small service trench for a power cable. No in-situ features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified. |
