Abstract:
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has devised proposals to construct a major new transport interchange in Bolton, involving the relocation of the existing bus station on Moor Lane to a completely new site, situated some 600m to the south-east, on the fringe of the historic core of the town. The implementation of these development proposals necessitate the demolition of several nineteenth-century properties along Great Moor Street and Newport Street (centred on NGR 371732 408920).
