Abstract: |
Tree-ring analysis was undertaken on 24 core samples obtained from different timbers in the nave and south aisle roofs of the Church of All Saints, Fenton, in Lincolnshire. A further six sliced samples were obtained from oak boards covering the nave roof. The analysis of these 30 samples produced a single site chronology, FENASQ02, comprising 4 samples (all from the oak boards), with a combined overall length of 184 rings. This site chronology was dated as spanning the years AD 1434 to AD 1617. |
