Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated on the site between 10 June and 07 July 2019. Natural gravels were at 10.60m OD, and were sealed by a post-medieval garden soil type deposit. There was an 18th/19th century brick building and deposits associated with its demolition/backfilling in the mid-20th century. This building could be any of those seen on maps of the site dating from the Horwood map of 1799 to the various 19th century OS maps. |
