Abstract: |
The excavation comprised the monitoring of the excavation of eight trenches for
services and foundations. In September 2021, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological excavation at
Gloucester Royal Hospital, Gloucester, in relation to groundworks associated with the
extensions to the existing Emergency Department (ED).
No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed, and no artefactual material
was recovered. Widespread truncation of the natural substrate was recorded in all areas of
the site. |
