Abstract: |
Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd (PCA) carried out an archaeological evaluation on land at the former college buildings of Epping Forest College. A total of four trenches were excavated during the evaluation in order to determine if any archaeological deposits or features survived on the site, and if so, to determine their extent and nature. The evaluation has recorded the topography of the natural London Clay, which has illustrated a gradual slope towards the southeast of the site. Two layers, most likely associated with the late 20th century development of this site, were identified during the evaluation. No other evidence of human occupation was observed during the works. |
