Abstract: |
Archaeology South-East was commissioned by Deacon and Richardson Architects on behalf of Chailey Heritage to undertake an archaeological watching brief and historic buildings recording at Old House, Chailey Heritage School, Haywards Heath Road, North Chailey, East Sussex. No significant archaeological features, deposits or finds were revealed during the limited archaeological monitoring of the groundworks at the site. The building recording resulted in small-scale additions to the existing drawn record made by Martin and Whittick in 2002 (Figs. 4 to 6). No conclusions can be drawn from the limited observations during the underpinning to the existing building. |
