Abstract: |
In July 2012 a programme of archaeological excavation and watching brief was begun at the site of the Lord Rodney Public House, in the suburb of St George, Bristol. Demoltion of the standing buildings was monitored followed by sample excavation of the site and a watching brief to monitor initial groundworks. The aim of the project was to establish the date of earliest occupation on this site and date the construction of the buildings. |
