Abstract: |
Evidence for later medieval activity was slight with most of the wide range of features recorded dating from the early through to late post-medieval period. The well which was recorded during the evaluation may be late medieval in date, although this is uncertain. The truncated remains of early post-medieval structures were noted in the south-west corner of the site although, rather surprisingly, the later buildings clearly shown on historic maps had left very little trace. |
