Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Gotelee Orchard-Lisle, on behalf of Fielders Farm Shop, undertake a programme of Historic Building Recording (HBR) at Fielders Farm Shop, Wickcroft Farm prior to the conversion of the redundant agricultural buildings on site. A descriptive record of the redundant farm buildings was created commensurate with a Level 2 (descriptive) record as defined by Historic England (2016). The recorded buildings are centred on Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference (NGR) 463242, 171840 and comprise a mixture of one - two storey components that together form an approximate C-shape in plan. They range from the late 18th or early 19th century to the late 20th or 21st century in date, although the majority of buildings were constructed by 1879. |
