Abstract:		 Oxford Archaeology (OA) North were commissioned by the National Trust to undertake a watching brief at the site of Woundale Hydro Project, a linear scheme extending from upper reaches of Woundale Beck to a point further south in the vicinity of Hird House (centred at NY 41685 06083) OA North were commissioned to produce a Written Scheme of Investigation and, subsequently, undertake the fieldwork. The fieldwork was undertaken over five days, commencing 24th March, continuing 13th May, and concluded over the 3rd, 4th and 5th June 2020. No archaeological remains were encountered during the watching brief.
