Abstract:		 Archaeology South-East (ASE) was commissioned by RPS Planning and Development to undertake an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with redevelopment at The Old Bakery, High Street, Nutley, East Sussex. The only deposits of any antiquity encountered during the monitoring were the remains of the footings of the two closely dated buildings which formerly occupied the site. The oldest building was either late 18th century or early 19th century in date, the second late 19th century.
