Abstract: |
In order to proceed with the refurbishment of the Master Tanner's House and conversion of its adjoining rear barn at 12 High Street, Buntingford, Hertfordshire, the Heritage Network was commissioned by Brent Smith Associates to undertake a historic building record prior to any works, and to conduct archaeological monitoring of the property during the proposed alterations. 12 High Street is located within the historic core of Buntingford, a town that has its origins in the medieval period, growing up along the road south of the original parish church of Layston. |
