Abstract:		 In October 2009 a watching brief was undertaken at 6 Queens Road, Berkhamsted, during groundworks for a house extension. The Queens Road area of Berkhamsted was developed in the early 20th century. Part of the site of the new extension had previously been disturbed by the construction of a light well to the cellar of the house. No deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were revealed during the watching brief.
