Abstract:		 A Watching Brief was conducted by Surrey County Archaeological Unit (SCAU) during the preliminary excavation works associated with the emplacement of a temporary classroom, to be set above ground level. The excavation associated with this development removed the topsoil from the area of the building footprint and an associated drainage pipe run. Archaeological remains of walls and areas of surfacing dated to the post medieval period were revealed within the main building footprint, and these probably represent parts of an 18th century stable block. It is recommended that further recording of these is undertaken when the temporary classroom is removed.
