Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring of a pad foundation and service trench revealed 19th century and modern made ground and demolition layers and a possible 17th century subsoil. A red brick wall foundation which may represent a 19th century propery boundary was also revealed. The monitoring was a continuation of monitoring undertaken during the excavation of strip foundations for a building extension which found a possible medieval clunch built well (OASIS ID preconst1-341925). |
