Abstract:		 In August 2009 Archaeological Solutions (AS) carried out a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording at 11-13 Church Street, Hertford, Hertfordshire (TL 3272 1251). The monitoring was commissioned by Mr Adrian Harms, and was undertaken in compliance with a planning condition attached to planning approval to construct a two-storey rear extension to the existing house. The site is situated within the historic core of the town of Hertford and is surrounded by residential and commercial properties on Church Street and Fore Street. The site lies within Area of Archaeological Significance No. 172 The monitoring revealed no archaeological features or finds.
