Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was carried out by CFA Archaeology on land at School Brow, Romiley, Stockport, Greater Manchester. Three trenches were excavated across the proposed site of a new housing development in order to evaluate any potential surviving archaeological remains. The trenches contained no evidence of any surviving archaeological activity in the area although the deep levels of overlying materials, largely modern demolition rubble, prevented the full excavation of the trenches in some areas.
