Abstract: |
This report presents the results of archaeological monitoring and recording that was carried out by South West Archaeology Ltd. (SWARCH) for an industrial development at Holbeam Dam, Ogwell, Newton Abbot, Devon. The results of the archaeological monitoring and recording indicated that no archaeological deposits and no archaeological features were present. The hedge bank, whilst on the alignment of an historic boundary and visible on the c.1840 tithe map, is likely to have been rebuilt during the 20th century given its loose and poor quality build. No further archaeological works will be needed in this area of the site. |
