Abstract:
Archaeological observation during groundworks to install a new sewage pump and the excavation of a trial pit to establish if the existing foundations were adequate to support a second floor No archaeologically significant finds or features were found during the watching brief. The absence of subsoil and the mixed, redeposited nature of the topsoil within the trail pit suggested that the study area had been levelled.
