Abstract: |
Two trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potential features excavated by hand. One trench revealed a ditch containing Roman pottery and much fired clay and charcoal. The other revealed only disturbance from the previous structure on the site. The ditch is presumably related to the adjacent (Scheduled) Roman temple complex. |
