Abstract:
Terrestrial laser scanning combined with photogrammetry to record exposed brick kilns and associated structures, forming part of the former Bevan cement works. Controlled and georeferenced the using GNSS and total station equipment. Orthogonal elevations and plans generated from 3d mesh models, presented in two written reports representing two separate survey areas. The second area was surveyed in two separate site visits. The phase 1 survey created a 3D record of a bottle shaped cement kiln and associated features, part of the former Bevan works. This is referred to in the written report as the "northern kiln complex" The phase 2 & 3 surveys recorded a row of six beehive shaped kilns, originally part of a bank of 11, and a 55 m long connected tunnel. This is referred to as the "southern kiln complex"
