Abstract:
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken on groundworks fora new access road and silage clamps. Work on a new slurry lagoon was not required as it was wholly within an existing lagoon. Several gullies or ditches and pits produced finds (pottery, loomweight, glass) dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period, and charcoal. Although limited the evidence might relate to some part of the processes of iron production for which the Weals is noted.
