Abstract:		 This report sets out the results of an Archaeological Watching Brief that was carried out on the 4th-6th July 2016 during the groundworks associated with the erection of an agricultural building for the housing of pigs on land at Thirkleby Wold Farm, Croome Road, Sledmere (SE 493091 467721). The Watching Brief was undertaken to fulfil an archaeological condition attached to the Planning Application Consent (16/00293/FUL). The development site covered 0.2 hectares and was excavated using machine excavators under close archaeological supervision. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered during the Watching Brief.
