Abstract:		 An Archaeological Watching Brief was undertaken by MAP Archaeological Practice Ltd at The West Park Hotel, West Park, Harrogate, North Yorkshire (SE 30286 54833) during November 2013. The work involved monitoring the groundworks associated with the construction of a rear extension with the excavation of foundation trenches and a cellar at the West Park Hotel, West Park, Harrogate, North Yorkshire (Planning Application Decision 12/02298/FUL). The monitored groundworks involved the stripping of the area of the rear extension, the excavation the foundation trenches and the cellar. All excavations were undertaken by a back-acting mechanical excavator, operating under archaeological supervision. No archaeological features, deposit or finds were present in either the wind turbine base or associated infrastructure.
